ELECTRA CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
The National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding junior high students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, character, citizenship, service and leadership. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning. One of the primary purposes of NJHS is to recognize students and their success. The second is to involve and engage students through leadership development and service. Members of the NJHS dedicate hours towards family, school and the community in service projects which benefit each. If you are interested in applying for membership you must meet the following criteria:
- students in the 7 – 8th grades may apply
- GPA 90 or above
- be a strong leader and of good character
- enjoy serving others
Selection for membership begins in December with induction into the chapter taking place in January.
