The National Elementary Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding elementary level students. More than just an honor roll, NEHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, responsibility, service and leadership. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning. One of the primary purposes of NEHS is to recognize students and their success. The second is to involve and engage students through leadership development and service. Members of the NEHS dedicate hours towards family, school and the community in service projects which benefit each. If you are interested in applying for membership you must meet the following criteria:

  • students in the 4th – 6th grades may apply
  • GPA 90 or above
  • be a strong leader and of good character
  • Enjoy serving others

Selection for membership begins in October with induction into the chapter taking place in November.
