For papers assigned due in fewer than (5days):
Students are expected to turn in homework on time.  If a student does not turn in his/her paper the day it is due, but turns it in the following day, he/she will receive a 20 point reduction in his/her grade.  If the paper is not turned in the next day following the due date, but is turned in the following day (two days late), the student will receive a 40 point grade reduction.  If the paper is not turned in the second day, it will not be accepted and a zero will be recorded for that assignment.
1 day late = 20 point reduction
2 days late = 40 point reduction
If not turned in the second day a zero will be recorded for that assignment.

For papers and projects assigned five or more days in advance:
For papers and projects assigned more than five day in advance, the teacher will provide a written copy of the assignment, which will include a grading rubric and turn-in guidelines.
