1. Students must report to the designated site by 3:35. A bell will signal 3:35. Exception: If a student reports late, he/she must have a pass from another faculty member.
2. Students must have something to work on when they enter the room.
If the student does not have the necessary work, the teacher will assign practice TAKS lessons to be completed satisfactorily before the end of the detention.
3. The rules and guidelines in the Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct and High School rules are in effect. Appropriate dress is required and no food or drinks are permitted.
4. Any student who is late, disruptive, or does not follow the directives from the teacher will be asked to leave campus and referred to the office for further disciplinary action.
5. Students will be dismissed by the teacher. There will be a bell to signal 4:05.
Valid Excuses: Doctor appointments
Court or probation appointments
Extra curricular competitions Note: Parent cannot get students out of detention for other reasons except for prior approval from the principal. Written documentation must be submitted the following day from the place of the appointment.
Unexcused missed detention each semester: 1st time will result in double detention
Any additional unexcused misses will result in 3 days ISS
