Please find at the following link information about the Robb Scholarship. This is a wonderful opportunity for one of our senior students to be awarded a $50,000 scholarship to any Texas state-supported university. I don’t know of any other high school that has this kind of opportunity, and we have encouraged all seniors to complete and turn in an application. Please call me at 495-2218 if you have questions or would like more information.
Have you started working on your child’s FAFSA form? It can be a challenge, but there are many folks who can help. The first step is to go to the website: www.fafsa.ed.gov. Then parents should register for a PIN, and students must also register for a PIN. Having one’s 2015 income tax forms completed (but they don’t have to be filed yet), is necessary to complete the form. A copy of your FAFSA form is required for the Robb Scholarship Application and many other scholarships and schools also require it, so it’s really important to get completed as soon as possible!
You are welcome to come here to use a computer or for any questions. Once again, just call or come by.
College is calling! Students can apply to any Texas school at the website:
Mrs. Marsh or I can help with transcripts or any other needed information. Many schools have March 1 deadlines for admission and/or scholarships, so it’s important not to wait!!
And if your student plans to compete in college sports, he/she must register with the NCAA.
And last, but certainly not least, time is getting short if your student plans to attend college and hasn’t taken ACT or SAT. Many EHS students qualify for fee waivers so they won’t have to pay to test. And some students will also need to take TSI exams. See or call L. Collins for more information.
Spring is just around the corner! Please let me know how I can help.
HOT OFF THE PRESS!
In addition to the Robb Scholarship, the following scholarship opportunities are now available to EHS students.
